Is there anything called "RIGHT or WRONG" ?

I feel that there is nothing like "RIGHT" or "WRONG" in this world...

I feel the words "RIGHT" and "WRONG" are relative terms. what seems "RIGHT" may be "WRONG" for some else and vice versa.

I feel we don't have a binary system, we only have "ONE" thing or a "SINGLE" system.

I would like to say Zero is nothing but the absence of ONE and Kudos to Aryabhatta for making our lifes easy and giving us a way to quantify things by inventing ZERO, otherwise we wouldn't know how to quantify "NOTHING"

Even the science conveys "There is no Darkness, it's just the absence of LIGHT".

  • falsehood is the absense of truth
  • Sorrow the absense of happiness
  • confusion the lack of clarity
  • .....
  • .....
  • Bad the absence of Good
The list keeps going on and on...

On a final note I have been trying to write this article for so long but didn't get a chance to publish it.

You can also say ...

Laziness or procrastination - Lack of Commitment or Discipline ;)

Choices we make in LIFE

I am in a phase of LIFE where I don't know what I want....or I can't decide what I need...

If you asked me the same question "What do you want in your LIFE? " 2-3 years back.

I would have answered "
  • I need some RED Pages in my book of LIFE,
  • I just don't want to die doing nothing,
  • i want to accomplish few things,
  • I need to fulfill the purpose of my LIFE"..........................

If you ask me the same question now " may be i will give you the same answer with lot of confusion". I had the same confusion before but i was confident that I will find answers to atleast few of the questions like

  • "What is the purpose of my life ?"
  • "What do I want in my life ?"
  • "Priorities in Life"................................

But now I am little bit confused that I still didn't find the answers....I am still exploring....

Few of the things I recalled or learned during the exploration are...

"We are the creators of our own DESTINY"
"We should make our own choices and be responsbile for making them"
"Live your life and answer your HEART"

It is in our HANDS...what we want to become or chose to become. We need to make our own choices in life, they may be great or could make our life miserable but at the end we still know "it is we who have made the decision not some one else". We will learn the lesson to not to repeat the same mistake if it was a mistake. But please remember "LISTENING" is a great art. We need to be great Listeners while we make our choices.

  • LISTEN to your HEART first..
  • LISTEN To the well wishers next
  • LISTEN to the WORLD...
  • LISTEN to the HEART at the end....of all these and DECIDE FOR YOURSELF....

In the course of the exploration i have met few people who made me realize few things.

"Few people want us to live their life.........." by this I mean they have a perception about few things and they want us to have the same perception about those things.... this also relates to my previous blog post "Do we need to be a COPY CAT"

I like the quote from "The Alchemist" which exactly says what I am talking about

When someone sees the same people everyday, they wind up becoming part of that person's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't what others want them to be,the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should live their lives but none about his or her own.
I don't know if my perception about those people is wrong(they meant something and I understood something else...) but this is what my perception....taught me.. May be it also relates to my previous post "Never Assume" (which i now call it perception)

I learnt "Perception goes long way...".
But it seems like I have always given a wrong perception of myself to others. or may be I have the wrong perception that " Few people have wrong perception about me". They may be right..I don't know and I just leave the perceptions to the world...and I don't want to have perceptions lol ;-)

Do people need to explicitly mention what they meant and what they will do... Of course we need to express ourselves , but does that mean we need to put out everything ........

Atleast I am a person who believes "Do it and talk about it"........but most of the times I end up "Talking about it and NOT DOING IT....." may be that might be one of the reason "I want to DO it and talk about it"

But before we "DO" things people build thier own perceptions and try to lay guilt-trip on others.

For instance let us suppose "Perception is close to REALITY".

Is there anything wrong being ourself ?
are all people alike ?
Do all people handle the things in the same way ?

I guess not... and I don't want to be a "COPY CAT". I want to listen but do it my own way....and I may take my own time..

Bottom line "We have to make our own choices in LIFE and be responsible for them"

Hope the almighty GOD will guide me to make some WISE choices or some FOOLISH choices, in either I have my lessons learnt...

I like being "LIFE LONG LEARNER"

Completed the Marine Core Marathon

I am glad that I completed the Marine Core Marathon(first marine core). I guess when it comes to running i have never run the way i intend to run. I am really good at screwing up things. I realized the reasons for the screw up would be desperation or lack of attention and this time they both came together.

My first marathon was Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville , Alabama on December 13,2008 which I finished in 5hrs 12mts which was a disaster due to lack of attention to "clothing on a Marathon day in Winter".

My second marathon : Marine Core Marathon in Washington D.c on October 25,2009 which I finished in 4hrs 49mts which was one more disaster due to my desperation to finish in 4 - 4hrs 15 mts.

Anyways lessons learnt. Hope one day i will make it to the Boston Marathon(3hrs 10mts)

Long way to go from 4hrs 49mts ----> 3hrs 10mts (1hr 39 mts...)

I guess I lack discipline and that inturn is making me lazy....

  • the fact that i didn't even make time to write a blog post.I wanted to do it at so many instances but was lazy enough to not even write one...glad that I am doing it now...and I feel good about it
  • Another thing for running is we build our speed and endurance levels over time with consistency and practice.
  • I lack the discipline to be consistent and continue the practice. It has been almost a month after my marathon and i hardly ran more than 3miles.....

GOD....please put some discipline into my mind... Hope HE will do...and i will be back running and trying to reach my goal, Boston Marathon.

Do we need to be a copy cat ?

I always used to wonder do we need to be a copy cat ? People tend to always compare with people successful(according to some parameters of their own) and start saying they did some X and they are if you want to that you should also do that X.

I was thinking....there are different routes to a destination. Each one can chose his own according to his choice, passion and dreams. Do all of us need to chose the same path?

I like and admire lot of people...Swami Vivekananda, Mother Teresa,Mahatma Gandhi,Martin Luther King,Nelson mandela.....and recently our Barack Obama.

They are successful in their own terms and contributed alot to this world. I admire them and love to get inspired and motivated by them.

But does that mean I have to do the same things they did..? Don't I have a brain? Can't I think ? Do I not have the ability to analyze/know what suits me....Ok lets assume I went wrong or failed(according to the so called set parameters of being Successful..and fast settling in life).... with my choice.......Are they not lessons....learned... Ok lets say "In few situation we can't afford to take chances..."..But does that mean we should just.....copy and be a photocopy..... If this happens everywhere in the world.......i fear that there will be a world that will come to an end because there are no new ideas or innovations and no creativity..........

Glad is not happening...and people are still innovative, creative, independent and at the same time responsible and can work as a team for a good cause

May 13 - The day an era has come to an end.

May 13 - The day I can't and shouldn't forget in my life because this is the day i came to know that a great soul and an inspiring lady and my mentor is no more there physically in this world. Her life is an inspiration to so many of us in our family and especially to me.She is my Grand Mom(Rama Tulasamma) aged 86. 1923-2009.

I am where i am because of her. She supported me in many ways and she was always there for me.

I wish I had the chance to talk with her before she departed this world.

Few last moments of me with her...

Finished one Chapter and Opening a new chapter in my book of Life

Graduated from Masters in Computer Science. Break for a while to go college physically, attend classes...but i guess i wouldn't stop learning...but this time the method of learning might change. Practical experiences might be the lessons..
